1. Pastel Yellow

Pantone’s color choice for 2019 might be living coral, but pastel yellow is a close second in popularity. The hue popped up on the spring ’19 runways of and the soft shade will be everywhere. Pick up a yellow dress or two right before the weather turns.

2. Waistcoats

If there’s one trend both European and American designers can agree on for 2019, is the return of the vest or as the British and South Africans say, waistcoat. Isabel Marant and Alexander Mcqueen debuted cool versions on their runways. Regardless of what style you choose, it’s the perfect transitional piece to own as you move through the seasons.

3. Fringing

With last autumn’s obsession with the cowboy boot, it was almost inevitable that there would be another Western-inspired trend infiltrating our wardrobes. Adorning everything from jackets to skirts via handbags and everything in-between, who knows… maybe we’ll be cutting our hair to fit too.

4. Animal Print

“We have already seen a lot coming through from 2018 but 2019 will be even bigger and better,” says Hsu. “Designers are getting into python and leopard prints layered on floral summer prints.” Look for the playful print on feminine blouses, wrap dresses, sling backs or pumps.

5. Tie-dye

Hippie Fest or Tie-dye is another exciting trend that came straight from NYFW. Several designers—R13, Prabal Gurung, Eckhaus Latta—gave new life to the retro-classic print, infusing it with new, undeniably edgy life. Now, tie-dye has found itself every where in collections and its definitely a fashion statement coming a long way from the backyard DIYs long associated with the print.

6. The one-shoulder

Cold-shoulder styles are still going strong, but having a piece, like the one from the Monse runway shown here with just one cold should is the fresh new way to dress in 2019.

Tie up a white button-down over black bike shorts and top and, boom, you're done.

7. Bike Shorts

Athleisure is the trend that keeps giving, and its latest offering is as unexpected as it is stylish. The bike shorts were worn with blazers by many style-savvy showgoers. Offering a fresh blend of sportswear and tailoring, the look was both striking and chic. Of course, while it may not be appropriate for either the office or the gym, the outfit is perfect for strutting the streets or attending Sunday brunch with your best friends. So, don’t be afraid to try it for yourself.

8. Cat eye sunglasses

These are flirty, sexy and downright attractive, especially when coupled with other top trends for the year. Throughout the years, many top actresses have sported the look, from Audrey Hepburn to Elizabeth Taylor, and Marilyn Monroe. It is timeless, it is vintage, and it looks superb on most anyone. Cat eye sunglasses are also the top street style picks of the moment, so here we present our favorite pieces for you to embrace the trend, too.
